Vishtasb Broumand, DMD, MD has been placing Zygomatic and Pterygoid implants for almost 20 years. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1997 and subsequently from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2000. He completed his post doctoral residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery along with an additional year of General Surgery at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2003. He Since then he also completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Tumor and Reconstructive Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Robert E. Marx at the University of Miami in 2005.

Upon completion of fellowship, he served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery in the University of Miami School of Medicine Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Miami, FL from 2005 to 2006 and was in private practice from 2006 to 2012 until his full time return to the University of Miami School of Medicine Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2012 to 2015. He relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 2015 and founded the Desert Ridge Oral Surgery Institute. He also serves as the section chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Arizona/ Banner University medical Center where her trains Oral Surgery residents on Advanced Oral Surgery techniques.

In 2019 he founded an advanced dental implant training center “Total Dental Implant Solutions” in Phoenix, AZ. He has trained close to 200 surgeons during live surgery courses in the USA on Zygomatic and Pterygoid Dental Implants.
